Years behind on filing? Let's get you caught up.
Not filing doesn't make it go away. The IRS may file a 'substitute for return' for you, usually with no deductions, and bill you for it. Filing your own returns usually puts you in a better spot.
How we catch you up
- We pull your wage and income transcripts (W-2s, 1099s and more the IRS has on file) with Form 8821.
- We find out which years the IRS is asking for. Often it's the last six years.
- We rebuild missing records. Self-employed? Our catch-up bookkeeping turns bank statements into a Schedule C.
- We prepare the returns, then help you set up a plan for any balance.
- Free call. Tell us what letter you got or what's being taken.
- Form 8821. You sign it, and we pull your IRS transcripts so we can see exactly what the IRS sees: balances, years, unfiled returns, and notices.
- A plan in plain English. We explain your options (payment plan, hardship, penalty relief, filing missing returns) and what the IRS will need from you.
- We prepare the paperwork with you: financial statements, missing returns, and letters.
- We get on the phone with you. When you call the IRS, we join the call and help you. You speak for yourself, and we're right there.

I don't have my W-2s or 1099s. Can you still help?
Yes. The IRS wage and income transcripts usually show what was reported for you.
How many years do I need to file?
The IRS generally looks for the last six years to consider you current, but it depends on your letters and situation. We'll check your transcripts.
Will I go to jail for not filing?
Criminal cases are rare and usually involve fraud. If you're worried about that, we'll refer you to a tax attorney.
